About Classics Lost 'n' Found Theater Company

Classics Lost 'n' Found Theater Company is a local community theater celebrating its 10th year in 2026!!!  Many of the founders of our theater were long time members of our previous theater (Corcoran Park Players established in 1982).  In 2017, we made the decision to rename our theater, and dedicate our group to performing classical playwrights and original scripts with a classic bent.

2026 SUMMER SHOWS!!!

Cartoon of Shakespeare holding a skull.

Our annual summer  shows brave the elements  (rain/heat/the annoying ice cream truck jingling during a pivotal scene) while we present our shows to adoring crowds at Nokomis Park. This summer:  MISS ROBIN HOOD AND HER MERRY BAND OF THIEVES (written by Noreen Brandt), and MACBETH THE OPPOSITIONAL KING

(think of MacBeth as a slacker with a nagging wife who does all the dirty work) written by Greg Bastien.  Get the mosquito spray out now!  The dates and times for the shows (performed together) are 7 pm Fridays/Saturdays July 10-11, and 17-18, with 2 pm matinees on July 11th and 18th.

Shows are FREE - and performed outdoors at Nokomis Park in Minneapolis.

2027 Season???

UPCOMING CLASSES

No, not soon to start thinking about our 2027 season!   We will be doing FOUR mainstage shows next year - spring/summer/fall/winter.  At least two of the shows will be original scripts - already forming madly in the director/playwright's minds - and two will be shows by classical playwrights.  We will be announcing our 2027 season this fall - so stay tuned!

UPCOMING CLASSES

Theatrical masks and a red rose framed by red stage curtains.

We just finished our spring class - "Theater 101", and are looking forward to TWO exciting classes this fall:  (1) a six week "Actor's Workshop" Saturdays 9-19 thru 10-24, with an optional performance on Sunday 10-15 at 2 pm.   The class will be taught by Barcy Stricker, and will be 10 am to 11:30 am.  Cost is $30, which is payable at the first class. FASTFEST!!!

Oh, we love those little short play contests that rouse our playwriting spirits!!. We hope to perform again this year -will be in August (but other info not yet ready)  We always have a preview night so stay tuned!  (No, this is NOT a pix of an audience member snoozing - but our very own Beva L. Steinberg as a grumpy granny in one of our last FASTFEST shows)

THE ROYAL FAMILY

No, not THAT royal family!  Our 2026 fall production will be another classic comedy - THE ROYAL FAMILY - by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber.  See what ensures when a star-struck, swash-buckling, and over-the-top acting family has to make a rough transition to reality in this 1920's romp!  The dates for the show are November 6-7, 13-14, and 20-21 at 7 pm, with a 2 pm matinee on November 15th.  Auditions will be 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on September 8th and 9th at Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church, 1620 E 46th Street in Minneapolis.  Roles for 19 actors/actresses. NO appointments.  You do not need to be at both nights of the auditions.
