And some really bad jokes... Ok, it IS free... Bring your own blanket or lawn chair!
PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! CLASSICS LOST N FOUND THEATER will be having a ONE NIGHT ONLY Fundraiser on Friday August 19th at 7 pm at our usual performing space, Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church on 46th Av in south Minneapolis. Admission is "PAY-WHAT-YOU-WILL" - plus we will be selling books/DVDS/CDS, as well as having several Silent Auction Baskets. ALL proceeds from this very special evening will go to fund our productions at Fastfest,so we hope you will join us!!!
During the past few months, we have featured not only actors that have performed with us since our start in 2017, but also directors, techies, and every play of our past four seasons. This will be a continuing feature - with the most recent roster of actors being featured will be from our upcoming production of "THE MISER". If you like this feature and want to see your own star shining brightly on our Facebook page and webpage - think about auditioniing or volunteering to work backstage. We would LOVE to have you involved in future productions!
We will be doing a double bill of two original one-acts by Noreen K. Brandt in October - "GHOULIES AND GHOSTIES: TALES OF HORROR AND SUSPENSE" (to be directed by Daniel L. Dyke) and "THE COZY TEA PARTY MURDERS" (to be directed by Noreen K. Brandt). "GHOULIES AND GHOSTIES" is a collection of ghost (and ghoul) stories inspired by Jack the Ripper, Banquo's Bloody Ghost, Edgar Allen Poe's "THE TELL-TALE HEART", and much more. "THE COZY TEA PARTY MURDERS" is set in a quaint little English village. Poor Agatha! She is only trying to have a cozy dinner party for her dearest friends when her murderous nephew keeps showing up in bad disguises and with really bad accents. Thank goodness a clever detective is there to stop the mayhem....or DOES HE??? Auditions for this show will be held August 29th and 30th at Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church from 7 to 9 pm. There are 10 to 12 roles for men/women in "GHOULIES" and 5 women/3 men needed for "THE COZY TEA PARTY MURDERS". Please note that these are two shows that will be performed together - but at this point we are not planning on casting anyone in both shows. Performance dates are October 14-15 and 21-22.
"CHRISTMAS CAROL KRAMPUS" is an original story by Lisa Phelps. Join Mrs. Claus, Winky the Elf, The Grinch, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Bartender, and our very own She-Devil Carol Krampus (who is quite tired of eating bad children, thank you very much) as they try and stop a greedy billionaire from destroying Christmas! Note: NOT your grandchildren's holiday classic... Our final 2022 show will hold auditions October 17th and 18th from 7 to 9 pm at Lake Nokomis Presbyterian Church - no appointments, no prepared pieces, reading from the script only.
You will not need to be at both nights of the auditions. Multiple roles for men and women.
Performance dates will be December 9th and 10th at 7 pm, December 10th also with a 2 pm matinee, and 7 pm performances on December 16-17. Get your Grinch on (or maybe your She-Devil or greedy billionaire)
and come join us!!

Our 2022 season's classic play is the delightful and still vibrant comedy "THE MISER" by Moliere, set in 1920's Paris!
(And no, we have never done a Moliere!)The rest of our 2022 season is ALL original works !

We are being very careful about the current COVID protocols, and will very possibly updating them with every single show in our 2022 season. Our next production - spring of 2022 - is "THE MISER", and we need to state that this time that any actor/actress who wants to be cast in this show will need to be FULLY vaccinated by the time the show opens late April. We WILL be asking the audience to wear masks throughout the performance, but the actors will NOT be masked, and for this show, entrances and exits will be made through the audience, as well as the stage area being close to the audience. As we mentioned in the above info for "THE MISER", this might very well change for our summer/fall/winter shows - but at this point, the restrictions listed above will be in effect for our 2022 spring show - NO exceptions.
We currently have a Youtube video to view of two scenes of our production of "TWELFTH NIGHT" both on our Facebook page and webpage. We also have numerous short videos for viewing on our Facebook page - including Antonio the Pirate and Feste the fool from "TWELFTH NIGHT". We did numerous short ZOOM films in 2020, including three for 2020 FASTFest, which went virtual due to COVID, and will continue to work on these for our own future mini-ZOOM festival!! Our most current short video promos (which can be seen on our Facebook page) are for our 2022 spring production of Moliere's "THE MISER" (with Don Larsson as Harpagon, the old miser, and Adam Fox as his son Leo), as well as a separate video commentary by the director Steven LaVigne. You can also view a promo video of our upcoming summer production of "MISS ROBIN HOOD AND HER MERRY BAND OF THIEVES" - auditions beginning of May.
